If you want to lose weight and get in shape, you should know about this one certain fundamental: A healthy diet combined with a varied exercise regimen is the surefire formula for weight loss success. However, these two words – diet and exercise – strike fear in the heart of many of us.

The following 7 quick weight loss tips are here to help you when having the fear of dieting or exercising to better motivate yourself by giving you some great ideas.

1. Instead of just moving your tongue, start moving that body! You can not see the results unless you get a go on.

2. Try psyching yourself out by using a screensaver or a post-it which says “You are fat! Get moving”.

3. To promote weight loss and maintenance, you will have to make small changes in your approach to food. For a start, say no to processed foods.

4. Stop eating while standing. Those little bits and bites add up to a lot of calories. Plus, eating deserves respect. So, make a plate for yourself. Have a seat and enjoy your meal.

5. Keep a journal where you record each piece of food and drink you take, and each move you make. This will increase your awareness of what calories consume, and also you will see how active you are in a day.

6. Join a social group or network that engages in some kind of physical activity. The fact that you are part of a dance club, a hiking group, or a ping-pong team will help you stay motivated.

7. Start investing in home exercise equipment, online diets and workout programs, DVDs. These will allow you the convenience of exercising in the privacy of your own home. I Lost 25 lbs The Old Fashioned Way!

Everywhere you look, people seek ways to get fit quickly, with minimal work. They want to lose weight and tone their bodies without leaving the couch. Fad diets are preached as the easy solution to lose weight fast. Unforutnately, this may not be possible. Getting fit has always been an acheivable goal, but it takes some work and discipline.

There are ten thousand diets out there, and it's so hard to choose right one. You may be asking yourself, "what did people do 100 years ago to lose weight instead of reading about all the newfangled diets and getting analysis paralysis?" The truth is that most people didn't diet at all. Losing weight wasn't desirable because they didn't have the media to make them ashamed of their bodies. They spent lots of time outdoors gardening and working in fields from necessity, and they ate when they could. They were fit, toned, and healthy as could be based on the circumstances. It comes down to limiting intake and being active, two things that require increasing willpower as the urge to be lazy and indulge is tempted from every angle in our entertainment and ad driven society.

Consider the basics: Drinking lots of water, eating lots of fiber, and eating 3-5 small meals a day can go a long way to helping you lose weight. If you love to eat, this is a good diet for you. There is one catch, though, and that is you must exercise as well. Something as simple as setting up a treadmill in your home can greatly speed up the amount of weight you lose because you can work out whenever it's convenient, and even watch TV while doing so. The movement will speed up your metabolism and help you lose weight in a natural and safe way. Even at lower speeds, you can get your metabolism up a bit and that does a lot of the work. It's easier, far easier, to just work out regularly and get your body burning more energy so that the calories are burned faster throughout the day.

I followed this plan after years of failure with fad diets that had me convinced I was going to look great after following the easy steps. I buckled down, toughened up, and took the advice that I'm giving you today. I had 3 medium sized meals per day, which consisted of generally healthy foods, like fruits and vegetables with small portions of meat. These foods provide generous amounts of phytochemicals and antioxidants, which keep the body healthy and free of disease. I also had several healthy snacks throughout the day, such as fruit or natural juice, like Monavie. As far as calorically dense snacks go, Monavie is great because it is packed with fruits and antioxidants, and it provides calories that prevent you from being hungry and binging at later meals. I walked briskly on my treadmill in the morning before work, which sped up my metabolism and got my body burning more energy throughout the day.

Although it isn't easy, losing weight, feeling healthy, and looking great are within reach. Just follow these simple steps and you'll quickly be on the road to a healthier you!
